Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Chop Chop app ("Application") created by Dominic Fezzie ("Service Provider"). Chop Chop is a free meal-planning app for iOS.

Information We Collect

Chop Chop collects only the information you actively provide in order to give you the app's features:

Chop Chop does not collect your device IP address, operating-system details, pages you visit within the app, time spent in the app, location, contacts, photos, health data, browsing history, or any analytics or telemetry.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to operate Chop Chop — for example, signing you in, syncing your meal plan across devices, showing other members of your household their shared recipes, and sending essential service emails (such as password-reset emails). The Service Provider does not send marketing emails and does not use your data to profile or target you.

How Your Data Is Stored

Account and user-content data are stored on Supabase (supabase.com), which acts as the backend-as-a-service provider for Chop Chop. Supabase stores data on the Service Provider's behalf and has access only as needed to maintain the service. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers.

Disclosure Required by Law

The Service Provider may disclose information if required to do so by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, or if they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Your Rights and Account Deletion

You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application. To delete your account and all associated user content, email dfezzie@gmail.com; the Service Provider will delete your data within a reasonable time frame.

Data Retention

The Service Provider retains your account and user-content data for as long as you use the Application. When you delete your account, your data is removed from their systems.

Children

Chop Chop is not directed to children under 13 and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If the Service Provider learns that they have collected personal information from a child under 13, they will delete it. Parents who believe their child has submitted personal information through Chop Chop may contact the Service Provider at dfezzie@gmail.com. Users must be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of their personal information in jurisdictions where this is required.

Security

The Service Provider takes reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information they hold. Supabase (the storage provider) applies industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of material changes by updating this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Effective date: 2026-04-19

Your Consent

By using Chop Chop, you consent to this Privacy Policy.
